About Kunal Gupta

I am Kunal Gupta. I began my academic journey at BITS Pilani in 2019 as a dual degree master\'s student in physics. However, driven by my inclination towards mechanical engineering, I was able to transfer to the mechanical engineering program based on my academic performance. During my undergraduate studies, I gained valuable experience in satellite engineering, image processing, CAD, and physics-based simulations. My continued interest in aircraft and spacecraft systems led me to join Georgia Tech in 2023 as an MSAE student. I was honored to receive the BITSAA Bhushan Bhatia Graduate Application Scholarship upon completing my Bachelor\'s degree. Additionally, in 2022, I was awarded the MITACS GRI scholarship, which allowed me to work as a research intern at the University of Manitoba, Canada, for three months. Currently, I am a Graduate Research Assistant at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory at Georgia Tech, where I focus on systems engineering, vehicle design, and machine learning.

   I currently work on NASA\'s Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration technologies. My responsibilities involve:Forecasting Key Metrics: Producing accurate forecasts of fuel consumption, distance traversed, flight operations, etc. based on Boeing\'s Commercial Market Outlooks.Software Modification and Debugging: Debugging and modifying the software systems crucial for these forecasts and ensuring optimal performance.
