ABOUT KUNAL DEWAN
A trained software engineer (specializing in creating & maintaining scalable web user interfaces and UX engineering) with a professional Master\'s degree in experience design, and an amateur bassist. I work at Block, Inc.(formerly Square) as a Software Engineer, leading the Front-End side of things in many projects & features. Some places I\'ve had the opportunity to work at previously include Amazon, Splunk, Goldman Sachs, and the University of Toronto. In addition, I\'ve also been fortunate to be considered for, and pass engineering assessments at other firms including Microsoft, Shopify, Oracle, etc. I have solid experience working with diverse teams on different products (Advertising Dashboards & Analytics, Design Systems, Core UI Platform, Search/Code Editor Experience & FinTech) and owning microservices-based front-end SPAs, in addition to contributions in monorepo architectures, design systems, accessibility & theming, and server side rendered apps. At present, I\'m involved in customer engagement driven projects at Square Loyalty which generate multi-million annual revenue.
