Kunaal has been practicing public accounting since 2007, working with companies in tech, life sciences, and entertainment. Most of what he does revolves around tax stuff—ASC 740, R&D credits, international and state planning, M&A, audits, you name it. Basically, if it’s tax-related and makes your head hurt, he probably deals with it. He provides strategic tax planning for startup, emerging growth, and publicly traded companies, and has successfully guided clients through IRS and foreign audit examinations.Kunaal serves as the Industry Group Tax Leader for the Technology, Communications & Life Sciences sectors at Baker Tilly and heritage Moss Adams. Before that, he spent six years at two Big Four firms.In addition, Kunaal is the CEO and Co-founder of KAP, a family-owned business that develops, owns, and operates hospitality, retail, and restaurant assets across the Western U.S. Drawing on more than 40 years of family experience in the industry, he leads a team focused on delivering high-quality, community-centered projects and services.
