I work for OculusIT as a NOC analyst. OculusIT is a global managed IT and cloud services provider. They specialize in offering a range of IT solutions and services to educational institutions. Some of the services provided by OculusIT include- Managed IT services, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity Services. As a NOC analyst I work directly with organizations to monitor their complex environment including servers, database, firewall, devices, URL and other services. I am responsible for ensuring the availability, performance and security of EC2 instances for the organizations operation. I monitor EC2 instances using AWS cloud watch or third party Monitoring tool like-Zabbix and Dotcom. Set up alerts for Key Metrics like CPU utilization, memory usage, disk i/oNetwork traffic to proactively detect and respond to issues. Configure and manage Cloud Watch alarms to monitor key performance metrics and trigger notifications or automate actions. As a NOC Analyst, I am responsible to create ticket by connect wise ticketing tool as per priority and acknowledge the issue within 10 minutes. Inform the resources & PM via call and teams chat immediately for the P1 issue. Monitor, analyse and troubleshoot network performance, availability, and security using network monitoring tools. Identify and troubleshoot network issues, such as connectivity issues and network congestion. I Check Network Tunnel status. Login into AWS management console. Check region where VPN is configured under site to site option. If tunnel is showing down and we are not able to ping Client end proxy server than i am responsible to initiate the traffic. I need to reload the tunnel with the commands like-sudo ipsec auto-down Tunnel or sudo ipsec auto-up Tunnel. Sometime i am responsible to initiate a Zoom call with SOC team/Network Team/Client. Once the issue is resolved, I am responsible to update client via ticket about issue resolution. And take ticket towards closure as per process.
