Working as Sr. Horizon VDI Engineer for internal entity/Partner Vodafone New Zealand, One.NZ.• Design, deploy and manage the VMware Horizon Cloud Virtual Desktop infrastructure on Azure. Supporting over 4500+ VDI Desktops• Deploy AVD Images with required applications for multi-pods as per customer requirements.• Create and manage persistent and non-persistent VDI Desktop and application farms.• Handle dedicated VDI farms and manage its resource consumptions.• Recompose all Desktop and application farms whenever changes are made and implemented on Golden Master Image.• Horizon Agent upgradation on all the master images whenever VMware releases latest update. • Track weekly and monthly resources consumption and perform changes and do cleanup to reduce overall VDI costs.• Monitor Horizon, Workspace ONE and ThousandEye dashboard and act proactively for any error on VDI Infra.• Deploy PowerShell script for daily health check and monitoring using task scheduler. • Manage VDI user profiles through Dynamic Environment manager.• Participate in P1/P2 TRT calls to identify and resolve the major issues.• Install monthly security patches on all golden images and VDI infra servers to overcome malware and to make vulnerability free.• Follow CRQ processes for any maintenance and critical changes. Create implementation plans and MOP as per requirements.• Provide daily health check RAG report and Monthly VDI report to stakeholders,• Handle all priority incidents effectively and sync with vendors VMware and Microsoft for critical issues to find RCA.• Resolve Incidents and service requests on Service Now ticketing tools within SLA and MTTR.
