MBSE-based Parametric Aircraft Cabin Design :• Developed a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) framework to analyze, manage and verify aircraft cabin requirements. Sponsor : Airbus• Identified, derived and allocated relevant requirements from 14 CFR Part 25 to cabin components.• Created a SysML model in MagicDraw (similar to Cameo). Created a framework to automatically verify the requirements form the cabin layout model.• Designed multiple layouts automatically and selected the optimal layout that met the requirements in SysML model.2. Technology Impact Modelling on Aircraft emissions reductions :• Part of a project to model aircraft and assess the reduction in emissions and noise of aircraft achieved by using future technologies.• Preliminary sizing and multi-disciplinary modelling of the aircraft aerodynamics, structures, propulsion and mission subject to design constraints.• Selected optimal designs based on trade-studies of key metrics such as fuel efficiency, payload capacity, emissions etc.• Used design of experiments and surrogate models to optimize the number of cases run and perform trade-off studies.3. Simulation of Urban Mobility & Optimal placement of EV charging stations :• Creating a digital representation of the complex system of urban traffic network to assess the optimum locations for EV charging stations, Case Study : Atlanta City.• Modelling of the System of Systems enabled through Agent-based simulation (SUMO) to model various modes of transport.• Used geospatial data and surrogate models of simulation results to suggest optimum EV charging station locations.• Creating a dashboard to visualize the data and enable city planners to make decisions.
