I lead Search & Recommendation platforms for large-scale OTT media products at Jio Platforms, building AI systems that shape how tens of millions of users discover and consume content every day. With 9+ years of experience in applied machine learning and data science, my focus is on translating advanced AI capabilities into scalable, production-grade platforms with measurable business impact.My charter spans end-to-end content discovery — from multilingual query understanding and semantic search to personalized recommendations, category and rail ranking, and experience orchestration across live and on-demand content. I work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure these systems are reliable, interpretable, and optimized for real-world user behavior.A core part of my work involves driving production adoption of Generative AI across media workflows. This includes rapid model benchmarking and selection, deploying open-source LLMs, designing scalable inference architectures, and building GenAI-powered systems for search intelligence, metadata enrichment, summarization, and automation. I have hands-on experience taking GenAI use cases from experimentation to production while balancing performance, cost, and latency.I operate at the intersection of machine learning, platform engineering, and product strategy, leading teams that build and own high-impact AI systems at scale. My background covers recommendation systems, semantic search, multilingual NLP for Indian languages, user profiling and segmentation, experimentation frameworks, and large-scale evaluation.Earlier in my career, I worked on ML systems for ads targeting and user intelligence, which strengthened my foundation in building end-to-end data science systems that perform reliably in high-throughput, real-world environments.I hold an M.Tech in Signal Processing from IIT Delhi. I’m particularly interested in building AI platforms that are scalable, pragmatic, and deeply aligned with user experience, and in applying GenAI thoughtfully to solve real product problems rather than chasing hype.
