About Kshitiz Prakash
Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC programming, electrical design, and on-site commissioning of control systems supporting complex and mission-critical environments. I work across the full controls lifecycle — from electrical schematics and panel design to field installation, PLC debugging, and system startup. My background includes developing and modifying PLC programs (primarily ladder logic), troubleshooting control logic during commissioning, and integrating field devices such as sensors, actuators, relays, VFDs, and networked controllers. I regularly support electrical design activities using AutoCAD, including creating and reviewing control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and redline/as-built updates based on field changes.On-site, I collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical installers, project controls engineers, and site management to ensure controls devices are installed and commissioned per project drawings and documented change-control processes. I perform device installation, wiring and re-wiring, network configuration (including IP addressing), and electrical troubleshooting during live site operations.Comfortable working independently at active sites, I track installation and commissioning progress, identify material or manpower gaps, and provide daily or weekly status updates to stakeholders. I am experienced using laptop-based engineering tools, ladders/lifts, and hand and power tools to safely access and service field devices.I enjoy bridging electrical design, PLC software, and field execution to deliver safe, reliable, and maintainable control systems.
