ABOUT KSHITIJ VERMA

This space is a work in progress :)] Hi, I was thinking of a funny elevator pitch, but I don’t think I have that (yet). I love solving problems, I hate selling myself. So here’s my background. In and out, nobody gets hurt. Growing up, I would dismantle my toys and rebuild them back to functionality (somewhat). Like all pursuits in life, I succeeded at some and lost others, but I recognized my love for complex systems and the satisfaction behind understanding their functioning. I knew Economics was the arena for me. My market focused background and passion for derivatives led me to join Goldman Sachs in 2021 in their collateral margining function where I analyzed large sum margin calculations of OTC Derivatives and managed EMEA clients in a high-stakes, high-pressure environment. In May 2023, inspired by India\'s groovy little cha-cha towards sustainability from 500 GW non-fossil fuel energy goal by 2030, I joined JSW Energy as a business analyst to join the shindig and be a part of the change-makers right here on Indian soil. With 2+ years of analytical experience, I contribute to the firm\'s renewable energy strategy by my proven ability of extracting vital insights from data. I love to: 1⃣ Collaboratively Solve Problems: Having started my career at an aggressive investment bank, I too approach my problems the same way: aggressively and head-on. I enjoy looking at ambiguity and brainstorming with my team to separate wheat from the chaff. 2⃣ Learn: I yearn to grab the latest non-fiction for my flights and itch to work with smart people. I’m constantly working towards building my efficiency and like The Economist, I too struggle with “a severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress.” 3⃣ Communicate Effectively:\"Kshitij is the most talkative in my class. Whoever I make him sit with, he starts talking to them!\" is what my teachers would tell my parents. From chairing MUNs to teaching 60+ students as an assistant to my professors, I\'ve learned that effective communication is at the heart of efficiency. When I’m not heads down working, I enjoy travelling to connect with other cultures and fascinating people, deep sea diving (improved my outlook on life by 10x), personal finance, capturing B/W stills, playing poker with friends, re-watching “The Last Dance” on Netflix or Formula One. I would love to connect and I\'m always looking forward to an insightful conversation over coffee, or even better, some coastal food after a dive!
