A seasoned Software Professional with 10+ years of experience in Test Automation, infrastructure and CI/CD. I have been responsible for delivering high quality and high velocity Data Engineering and Observability capabilities to Cloudera\'s customers in two form factors: as part of a Hybrid cloud data platform and as Standalone Cloud native Services.Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to get opportunity to work on testing complex large-scale distributed systems. I have also been fortunate to be part of the team that oversaw journey of our products from large monolithic platform form-factor towards lean and mean cloud-native, service oriented architectures. I also got to learn about customer interactions with such systems, their expectations, pain points and I have helped to evolve our testing needs and solutions accordingly to deliver as highest quality products as possible. I am a hands-on Manager who doesn\'t hesitate to and in-fact loves to code, and wear SWE hat often. In my capacity as an IC and an Engineering Manager, I have bootstrapped the teams and established test automation, infrastructure and promotion pipelines for Cloudera\'s Data Engineering (CDE) and Observability (WXM) products grounds up. I have also personally automated feature testing for many enterprise grade features such as fine grained access control, ACID capabilities, SSO authentication, Authorization, data governance etc. I also have acquired in-depth hands-on knowledge of large scale open source technologies such as Spark, Iceberg, Airflow, Hive and Hadoop. I have led the team through 2 M & As including steering the team through the tasks and challenges originating from company\'s product rationalization, test infrastructure modernization/migration, changing processes in the team to adapt to cloud-first high velocity feature delivery and working closely with sustaining teams to handhold them through transfer of ownership of testing of legacy platforms. I have also hired and mentored interns as well as strong SWEs at wide range of seniority levels globally and helped to grew the team size by 3 times.
