Shalini is Chief Strategist at Ekstep Foundation building Data & AI initiatives. She has led led Technology for AWS Asia Pacific region driving Gen AI, Developer, & Cloud Big bets for Public sector- Government, Healthcare, Ed techs, Higher Ed Institutes, Agriculture, PSUs and non-profits industries. With a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives, Shalini has led, the creation, execution, partnership and architecture of customer initiatives at AWS to launch mission critical applications impacting million of citizens. In her prior role, as President AWS, Public Sector, India Shalini led the P/L for India business, driving transformational initiatives and Go to Market strategies while leading sales, partner, architects, deep tech specialists, and marketing teams. Prior to AWS, Shalini has been an IBM veteran of 22 years and was the first IBM Fellow from India. She led AI research and engineering teams across Data & AI, supply chain, asset management, facilities management, climate risk and sustainability. She created Watson IoT labs, led AI Infusion across IBM products and engineering teams, led the core strategy of launching IBM Kochi, and Ahmedabad lab centers. She is an innovator and technology strategist with over 28 years of experience in applying future technologies to create new product offerings & solutions for sustainable growth. With 15 patents and 4 papers, she frequently contributes to industry, academia, and technology forums. She is currently FICCI co-Chair of Technology committee and member AI Advisory board, World Economic Forum. She is a torch bearer of GoodTech Projects in India while working with schools, universities, government and industry leaders. She has led led strategic programs with NITI Aayog, Atal Innovation Mission and MHRD CBSE board on several education centric missions. While at IBM, She implemented AI Curriculum for CBSE schools Grade 11 & 12 - implemented at 200 schools across several states and was champion for STEM for girls program- girl students across 12 states and 120 districts.She is author of the book “AI for You- The new game changer\', published by Bloomsbury and Host of AI Infusion podcast series, on Spotify. Awards: First woman IBM Distinguished Engineer in India, SP Jain Distinguished Alumni award 2021, Emerging Women Achiever\'s award from CII in 2011, Zinnov Technical Role Model award for 2012, Woman in Technology award from eMERG, India, 2015, AACSB Influential Leader 2022.
