I lead the Verification domain at SumUp, responsible for strategy, roadmap, and execution of onboarding and KYC/KYB verification systems across 36+ markets- Built and scaled highly efficient flows for individuals and businesses, including documentary and non-documentary methods, biometric and liveness checks, and reusable identity features- Introduced smarter automation, improved UX, and AI-powered decisioning—improving conversion and reducing manual review efforts- Collaborated with legal, risk, and compliance teams to align with local regulations and future EU frameworks (e.g, eIDAS 2.0, EUDI)- Manage key vendor partnerships across verification and document checks—from selection and contract to integration- Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and data—soon expanding to include a new PM hire.
