Plan, initiate, and manage large scale information technology projects for NASA missions, laboratories, and multi-mission/flight projects throughout the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD). • Lead and guide the work of system administrators and serve as the core liaison across scientific, engineering, and technical aspects of NASA missions and projects. • Monitor system issues and interface with the appropriate internal directorate IT resources to research and resolve technical issues, moving swiftly through challenges to manage end-to-end product and service delivery. • Manage relationships with senior directorate management and technology managers to identify opportunities to improve processes, security posture, and leverage new technologies in response to federal regulatory developments. • Plan and facilitate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) mitigation, system patching, documentation, vulnerability and malware scans; in collaboration with, the ETD Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO), and Information System Security Engineer (ISSE). • Design and implement approved security controls, in accordance with NASA, FISMA, and NIST standards.
