Fully integrating my unique experience in multiple facets of a pension system including counseling (both on phone and in person), calculations, upgrading our payroll management system from ~20+ systems to one comprehensive payroll management system (CPMS/V3locity), module & test lead for linking conditional blocks and investigating system bugs pertaining to documents, conducting initial training for pension deductions and the cash account quality assurance, transitioning to Investment Strategy for the past 5 years and being exposed to a generalist approach on the “buy side” when it comes to portfolio construction, asset class analysis, funded ratio analysis, leverage effect due to our QPP & TDA, leading our Global Listed Infrastructure search, updating and monitoring our Investment Book of Record, memo writing & interfacing with the Board of Trustees, our Private & Generalist Consultants and the Bureau of Asset Management regarding investment decisions, onboarding new systems that digitized our due diligence process and allowed for effective scoring, and opining on the best fit way to go forward with optimizing the flow of our Variable A fund in a sensible way for the future given all of the flow of data, mutual funds and other strategies baked within.This new role allows me to write, modify & enhance our currently existing SOPMs, interface with auditors to look for strengths and weaknesses in our current processes across most units in the organization with an eye towards developing training materials to help onboard new staff while leaning on my experiences to relate to members of multiple teams.
