About Krystal Hawks
I am a Registered Dietitian with the goal of obtaining the Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and/or the Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) credential with an interest in working with an athletic population to optimize performance and improve others\' relationship with food and exercise. I have a Master\'s of Science in Sports Science from the University of Pittsburgh and have dual Bachelor\'s of Science degrees from Kent State University in Nutrition and Dietetics as well as Exercise Physiology. I completed my dietetic internship at the University of Houston.

I am the registered dietitian for a young adult (16-22 years old) partial hospitalization program (PHP). I uphold The Emily Programs\' non-judgmental approach to food, stressing food does not need to provoke anxiety, guilt, or extreme negative/positive thinking, and food is energy for the body- all foods are an important part of our diet. I provide nutritional counseling, symptom management, physical activity oversight, and medical nutrition therapy to clients with eating disorders. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and facilitate therapeutic client meals and snacks as well as nutrition-related group programming.
