About Krysta Bea Jackson
Krysta Bea Jackson was raised from an early age to appreciate hard work and the hustle of entrepreneurship - growing up in a house of four generations of strong women can do that. She started her first business at 24 and sold it a few years later. Working with the University of Nevada, Reno and all the enthusiastic students for three years inspired her to the next big venture: Sugar Love Chocolates which she founded in 2015. She is the lead organizer for Startup Weekend Reno and 1 Million Cup Reno, has been involved in multiple organizations promoting entrepreneurship in the region and was awarded the 2016 Faculty Advisor Special Recognition Award from the Governor’s Cup. In 2018, she received the \"Swimming Upstream\" award from the Nevada Business magazine which recognizes women business owners. She likes to sum it up as, “I’m a nerd for business.”
