About Kryselle Martis
I am an ethusiastic programmer which was realized only on completion of my Bachelor\'s in Technology and joining my first company - Citi - as an intern and subsequent full-time employee.I started off on full stack development with Angular in UI and Java in services. I was working on wholesome projects and exposed to Elastic search, mongoDB, Kafka and Tableau. I eventually narrowed down to Java and got assigned projects dealing with migration from monolithic legacy software and.net to microservices in Java. These migration projects pushed me to re-evaluate database design and optimize coding practices to produce highly performant services.Since joining the FinTech workforce after college, I have developed a passion for finance and management. This coupled with the desire to keep learning led me to pursue an executive MBA at SIMS while holding down my full time job. My thesis was on the application of news headline sentiment analysis to improve mutual fund performance. I am currently studying to clear the OCP Java SE 11 Developer exam 1Z0-819 in August.
