In my current role, I counsel and litigate on behalf of both employers (primarily small businesses) and individual clients in connection with a variety of employment law issues. My areas of focus include claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; wage payment and overtime calculation; employment and independent contractor agreements; severance packages; non-compete and other restrictive covenants; employment policies and handbooks; workplace investigations; and family and medical leave issues.I also support the Firm\'s Local Government Law Practice Group by researching and advising municipal clients on issues such as: employment law matters, including personnel practices, promotions, and employee pensions; ethics; Greenacres regulations; construction disputes; OPRA requests; cable television franchise renewals; and state legislative initiatives addressing salary history inquiry bans, foreclosure laws, towing and storage of vehicles, taxes on “AirBnB” and similar rentals, marijuana legalization, paid sick leave, and charitable donations in lieu of property taxes.
