ABOUT KRITIMA BHAPTA
I am a Research Associate at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress, CSEP (formerly, Brookings, India). I work at the intersection of macroeconomics and climate, integrating economic analysis with climate policy to address sustainability challenges. Prior to joining CSEP, I worked as a Young Professional at the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, where I conducted research related to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and India. I also participated in the 2022 Article IV Consultations between the IMF and the Government of India. I have worked for the Joint Finance and Health Task Force (JFHTF) Working Group under the Finance Track during India\'s G20 Presidency. As part of the Ministry of Finance policy team, I participated in the Communique Drafting session of the G20. I hold a Master\'s Degree in Economics from NTU, Singapore and a Bachelor\'s Degree from University of Delhi. My research interests lie in macroeconomics, international economic relations, and climate policy.
