Project: BT GroupTransformation program of British Telecommunication’s Data Platform that covers migration of Data, scattered across 30+ data warehouses of different lines of business, and rationalization of legacy applications and analytical BI reports. Data and applications are migrated from on-premises legacy technologies to BT’s Cloud Data Hub (CDH) in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Involved as Data Engineer for transformation and migration of BT’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), containing approximately 100 TB of data from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Actively involved in implementation of data ingestion pipelines using GCP services like Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Function, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Big Query Stored procedures etc. Delivered data product solutions including Data Warehouse, Data Mesh, Dimensional Modelling for Data Mart, Relational Modelling for Operational Data Store. Developed ETL pipelines using SQL scripts and PLSQL packages/procedures/functions containing complex Analytical queries or Window functions to load data into target Fact and Dimension entities of data mart. Analyzed SQL queries referring Oracle Explain plan and Execution plans to fine tune the query performance and ensure the agreed SLAs Successfully implemented complex business logic using Python and SQL to perform data analysis on business data, derive trends and insights from them and produce to business to frame out new analytical reporting requirements.
