   Part of Databook Team (Handling all the metadata of Uber)- Data User Experience in Platform Org.Key Contributions:– Improved metadata query efficiency by adding query-level hashing in the sample data collection pipeline, eliminating duplicate queries and increasing per worker efficiency by 50.1%.– Optimized tiering checks for Tier-3+ datasets, reducing API latency from 3 s to 300 ms (90% faster) and improving metadata access responsiveness.– Delivered the Self-Recovery feature end-to-end, enabling users to restore deleted datasets without DLM intervention—enabling them to delete 92K+ datasets (7.5+ PiB) and significantly reducing operational load.– Architected a schema governance framework for Uber’s Batch Schema Service, automating JIRA-based impact notifications and sign-offs for backward-incompatible DDL operations across 2 million+ Hive tables.– Integrated Glossary term injection into Databook’s dataset and column responses to enable business term based discovery and enabled fetching of deleted terms for recovery from databook UI.– Designed Subscription System for Databook to allow users to subscribe to key dataset events (schema changes, data quality failures, manual updates), enhancing data observability and proactive issue resolution.– Served as Primary On-Call (over 3 rotations), triaging 100+ critical alerts and resolving 250+ customer escalations and Slack threads, ensuring high service availability.
