About Kriti S Bahl
I’m a PhD-trained cell biologist with 6+ years of academic and industry experience in immuno-oncology, gene therapy, and cell-based therapeutic development. My expertise includes CAR T and TIL therapies, primary and engineered immune cell culture, confocal microscopy, functional assay development, and metabolic profiling using Seahorse and SCENITH platforms. At Lyell Immunopharma, I led the development and optimization of rejuvenated CAR T cells using partial reprogramming technology. I designed and executed cell killing, cytokine, and metabolic assays to assess efficacy and persistence, and collaborated closely with in vivo, pathology, and bioinformatics teams to translate findings into preclinical models. During my postdoctoral work at UCSF, I focused on immune cell metabolism and signaling pathways that govern T cell activation and regulatory function. I conducted in-depth analysis using patient-derived samples and transgenic mouse models, and employed advanced flow cytometry, imaging, and biochemical methods. I thrive at the interface of immune engineering and translational research and am driven by a passion for solving challenging biological problems through rigorous science and cross-functional collaboration.
