ABOUT KRISTY JAHCHAN
I\'m a data scientist at the economic consulting firm Cornerstone Research, where I support clients with complex data needs in high-stakes litigation, optimize and automate processes in consulting and business development, and help teach key programming skills to consultants. I\'m particularly interested in data visualization, and how integral it is in the context of presenting complex economic, financial, and statistical concepts with large underlying datasets to non-expert audiences. I graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in May 2021 with an International Political Economy major and Arabic minor, earning membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu, Pi Sigma Alpha, and Omicron Delta Epsilon national honor societies. I started working at Cornerstone Research in October 2021 as an analyst, and advanced to senior analyst before making the transition to the Data Science Center to pursue a career in data science.
