ABOUT KRISTY BELL
As a Data Scientist on FanDuel\'s Sports Modeling and Innovation team, I apply my expertise in machine learning to price sportsbook markets. Since joining the team in 2022, I have been a key-contributor to the development of FanDuel\'s in-house NFL and college football models that power FanDuel\'s Same Game Parlay products. Prior to my current role, I graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Statistics and Economics achieving a 3.96 GPA and receiving the Duncan Clarke Hyde Award for exceptional academic achievement in economics. My growing interest in analytics motivated me to pursue my M.S. in Data Science during my fourth year at UVA. The academic and technical rigor of the MSDS program at the School of Data Science was a welcome enhancement to my previous experience as a Data Science intern at AMPEL BioSolutions where I was first author on a publication in the ACR Journal. In addition to my school work, I have further refined my skills and explored my passion for sports analytics as a football analytics intern with the UVA football team.
