About Kristopher Newville

When I was 25, I was working as a Co-Manager at Walmart, learning quickly, leading teams, and figuring out what kind of leader I wanted to become. One late night, I walked past a wall of televisions playing a news story about the Army needing recruits. I stopped for just a few seconds, but that moment changed everything. I realized that while I enjoyed what I was doing, I wanted something more purposeful. Something that demanded more of me and allowed me to serve others in a meaningful way. After a few months of reflection and preparation I joined the Army. What began as a plan to serve my country and gain leadership experience for a few years turned into a 20-year adventure with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Over 11 deployments around the world, I led and developed teams ranging from five to more than six hundred people. I managed complex missions, secured critical facilities, integrated new technologies, and coordinated with senior leaders, interagency partners, and international allies. Those experiences taught me what truly drives me is building systems that perform under pressure and developing people. My “why” is to seek challenges so others can grow, succeed, and take pride in their accomplishments. That belief has shaped every chapter of my career, from combat leadership and training management to mentoring the next generation of officers and cadets. In my most recent role as a Senior Military Science Instructor with Pacific Lutheran University Army ROTC, I have had the privilege of helping young leaders discover their own capacity for responsibility, adaptability, and purpose. It is incredibly rewarding to see them rise to challenges, an understand that leadership at its core is about enabling others to succeed.I hold a Master of Science in Emergency Management from the University of Southern California, maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, and many certifications. My expertise includes operations management, training and development, project leadership, crisis response, and risk mitigation. More importantly, I bring a leadership mindset defined by accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. As I transition into the private sector, I am pursuing opportunities where I can apply my leadership experience and operational insight to help organizations perform at their highest level. My goal is to contribute to teams that value initiative, professionalism, and measurable results while fostering cultures of trust and collaboration.
