Leads Foreign Trade and Compliance management for Logistics department, to ensure compliance with import/export regulations including U.S. Customs (CBP), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), Authorized Economics Operator (AEO), Valuation, duty claw-back, International Air Transportation Association (IATA), etc.* Management of product classification in Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Schedule B, and Dept. of Commerce’s Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), Incoterms, etc.* Provides proactive global trade risk assessment/updates to ensure corporate alignment with the ever-changing global trade landscape; provide recommendations and lead the implementation of new policies and measurable process improvements.* Created import/export company management processes and control systems in accordance with U.S./ global of Import and Export regulations, corporate policy, and industry best practices*Developed and maintain key performance metrics with transportation carriers, import customs brokers, asset recovery vendors and consignment inventory. Analyze data to make fact-based decisions to improve business compliance and reduce cost to serve* Responsible for internal and external (brokers/vendors/government) trade compliance audits; and conduct business reviews to ensure accurate and timely submissions to customs agencies* Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase compliance with global trade regulations. Implemented automated import/export rules within Oracle, and SAP.* Obtained C-TPAT Certification for Curvature and created processes to maintain status.* Successfully ran 2 Global RFP\'s within transportation and 3rd party management, which resulted in cost savings just under $1M annually.
