ABOUT KRISTIN WELCH
I am a seasoned venture leader, both in startup and large corporate environments. I bring a consulting background and mindset to new technology solutions in various industries. During my time at Ford, I was a leader in many different initiatives, each of which I deeply enjoyed and gave me a deeper perspective into my strengths as a professional. I started by scouting new technologies, with the goal of revolutionizing the business, for Ford’s venture incubator. Throughout much of my tenure I managed external venture capital investments and large-value projects such as the connected vehicle technology startup Cavnue, LLC. Finally, I led a Business Acceleration team with the mission of uncovering next generation technologies such as A.I. and assessing use cases within all divisions of Ford Motor Company.One of my favorite career experiences was helping founders take SPLT from a small, scrappy startup through acquisition by Bosch. This role really shaped my view on how startups should interact with investors, should build their sales processes, and need to work well with corporations to commercialize new technologies.Right now I’m advising a number of AI-focused startups on their strategy, and I hope to continue down this path of helping companies navigate the path to sales, investors and a high-growth business model.One of my favorite activities professionally is to bring people together and help them find mutual success.
