ABOUT KRISTIN WANDEN WALKER

I am a trauma-informed storyteller, mental health advocate, and multi-format content creator with more than a decade of experience elevating conversations around neurodivergence, emotional health, family systems, and lived human experience. My work weaves together my personal, clinical insight, personal history, and creative narrative to bring clarity to subjects that are often misunderstood, stigmatized, or oversimplified. As the founder of MHNRNetwork — New Media, I have built a modern digital studio that spans podcasts, essays, Substack publications, TikTok micro-education, and multi-platform mental health storytelling. Over the years, I have collaborated with clinicians, researchers, advocates, and creators across the mental health field globally, amplifying voices that bring nuance, accuracy, and compassion to a rapidly changing landscape. My background includes producing hundreds of long-form interviews and developing content that bridges clinical understanding with accessible, human-centered narratives. I am also an author publishing under a pen name, where I explore neurodivergence, trauma, healing, and identity through literary nonfiction, mythic narrative, and personal storytelling. These works form the creative branch of my practice, offering readers a deeper emotional lens through which to understand their own experiences. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult, I bring lived-experience awareness to everything I create. This perspective allows me to approach mental health topics with authenticity, precision, and respect for the complexity of the human nervous system. Much of my work focuses on the intersection of masking, creativity, generational trauma, boundaries, and the ways in which people reclaim themselves after years of self-suppression.My current areas of focus include: • Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, giftedness, masking) • Trauma-informed education • Creative narrative as a healing tool • Family systems and relational boundaries • New media storytelling • Mental health literacy and advocacy • Clinical + creative integrationI am committed to creating media that is emotionally safe, intellectually honest, culturally aware, and genuinely helpful. Whether through digital platforms, essays, interviews, or creative works, my goal is to build spaces where people feel seen, understood, and supported — and where mental health conversations can evolve with the depth and integrity they deserve. If you’re interested in collaborating on mental health initiatives, or exploring new media projects, I welcome the connection.
