ABOUT KRISTIN SKRITEK

Bridging the space between stakeholders and development teams to create impactful products - that\'s my objective. For the most successful solution to be found and developed, there needs to be a thorough understanding of both the business and development sides of a project. With a background in the latter, from data cleaning to building production-ready machine learning models, cross-functional knowledge, and being solid in communication and client relations - I am equipped to carry out my objective. My skills have enabled me to successfully lead the integration of two medical devices in one of Canada\'s largest retail pharmacy chains and the creation of a company\'s Software as a Medical Device team and its first product.I love and need challenges such as starting a project from conception and championing it to the end: Understanding a messy problem -> Identifying the right people and teams and gathering foundational information -> Creating a high-level solution, from its architecture to identifying regulatory \"gotchas\", and gathering preliminary estimates -> Reviewing the solution with stakeholders and discussing its prioritization -> Remaining involved throughout the product\'s development ensuring the proper product is being created and designing future phases.I am pursuing a career that allows and encourages me to use data science, creative thinking, and client relations to make decisions about a business\' product, strategy, and enhancements. I appreciate environments where collaborations and mentorships are a usual, and growth and development are a requirement, along with being upfront. My committed and adventurous personality is exemplified with a pilot\'s license and fourth degree black belt in taekwondo. My current interests include product development, device integrations, medical devices, social behavior, construction, and data science\'s role in these topics.I am experienced with Python, SQL, R, RapidMiner, TeraData, AWS, GCP, and Jenkins. Also with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, compiling business and product requirements, prioritization of products and features, and creating estimates and roadmaps.
