ABOUT KRISTIN MILLER

Experienced Healthcare Leader of Quality, Risk, Regulatory, Patient Experience, and Patient Safety, with a demonstrated history of increasing IP and OP core measure compliance, improvement in MIPS METRICS, decreasing IP mortality rates and complications, and reducing readmission rates, decreasing door to needle times, decreasing the incidence of HAI’s and PI’s, increased patient safety awareness, education, conducting RCA’s, FMEA’s, audits, increasing Leapfrog grades, continuous survey readiness, EOC/LS/SPD/Unit tracers, working in the operating room, acute care, ICU, sterile processing, dialysis, and staff development. My passion lies in improving quality metrics, teaching Quality / Project Improvement with the PDCA MODEL, breaking through the barriers, and tearing down the silos that prevent SBAR Communication and effective handoffs, reinforcement of core measure compliance with staff and providers, all of which equal better outcomes, decreased waste, and high-quality care for the patients we serve. When I think about my skillset, I think about: Quality, PI, Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Claims, Medical Malpractice, Transparency, Interdisciplinary Teamwork, Project Improvement, EBP projects, Nursing Education, Triennial Accreditations, Performance Improvement, Joint Commission Disease Specific Certifications including but not limited to Advanced Heart Failure, Primary Stroke, Sepsis, STEMI/Chest Pain, Alzheimer\'s, Total Hip/Knee, and Hip Fracture as well as Mission Lifeline/AHA.
