Manage the Iowa Roadside Management program at the Tallgrass Prairie Center, serving 65 counties with roadside plans that collectively manage nearly acres of roadside vegetation using integrated, ecological techniques• In coordination with the Iowa Department of Transportation, doubled the number of counties that developed roadside plans describing how they manage their roadsides using an ecological approach from 2016 to present• Received and managed 35 grants totaling $4.9 million to present• Developed and implement an AmeriCorps program at the Center, shaping the structure and adapting it for the Center\'s unique needs• Partner with Trees Forever to implement an annual educational program, Stewards of the Beautiful Land• Led staff in developing the Center\'s vision statement and revised mission statement• Plan and co-facilitate Center strategic planning meetings• Collaborated with a graphic designer and AmeriCorps member to create a new logo for the Iowa Roadside Management program• Collaborate with a roadside manager to plan and host an annual 3-day conference that is held at a different Iowa location each year and attended by 100–140 people from state and local government agencies, nonprofits, and private industry• Conduct interdisciplinary research with social scientists to understand the benefits and barriers to counties having a roadside vegetation program• Write and edit social media posts, brochures, journal articles, reports, press releases, and e-newsletter• Regularly speak at conferences and meetings to inform environmental practitioners and lay audiences about the Center and the roadside program
