ABOUT KRISTINE PETERSON

I am an experienced Healthcare Administrator with a strong background in providing and ensuring quality patient care through clinical operations optimization across lines of service. With experience in academic, hospital, and ambulatory medical settings, I bring a holistic perspective to implementing clinical excellence standards, programs, and protocols from the ground up. I pride myself on my ability to exceed on KPIs, develop healthcare leaders, and ensure that employees perform at their highest potential.As a leader in clinical operations, I have restructured departments, launched healthcare programs and developed initiatives to cut costs by hundreds of thousands of dollars. As Director of Medical Specialties, I manage resources, operations, and a budget for five service lines and 100+ employees. In this role I led the development and implementation of the Medical Specialties Prior Authorization Unit that resulted in the reduction of medication authorization denials by 10% and staffing costs by $200K. This initiative ensured that clinical team members practiced at their highest level of licensure/credentialing, increased operational efficiency, improved patient care and satisfaction, and resulted in the receipt of one of the 2022 Summit Health Innovation Awards. In addition, as the Regional Director of Clinical Services, I led an 8 month project to deconstruct a shared staffing model and reassign resources to individual service lines, increasing efficiency for 150+staff and 10 services lines.Throughout my career, the common theme has been my success with transforming clinical operations, identifying and executing on strategic initiatives to drive business growth, service expansion, and patient satisfaction and retention.
