About Kristine Hunt
I teach US and world history general education courses both in-seat and online. I have developed courses in US history to 1865, US history and culture to WWII, US history in film, and Women in US history.My master\'s thesis analyzed occupation types in those living in Craftsman bungalows in three Intermountain and Pacific West US cities in 1920. I often use architecture as a primary source while teaching local, regional, and national history.I am also a freelance copy editor and proofreader, currently specializing in nonfiction scholarly books and journals, and business communications.In editing numerous contributed volumes as well as monographs, I have developed the skill of retaining the author\'s voice while ensuring consistency throughout. I generally keep to a light editorial touch.My primary editing expertise is in history, art history, anthropology, political science, education, linguistics, philosophy, literature, and religion.Specialties: Copy editing, line editing, substantive editing, proofreading, electronic editing and coding, indexing.
