ABOUT KRISTINE HOLLOWAY
Kristine is the Founder of Code4Girlz and a strong believer that girls \'need to see them to want to be them\'. Kristine has presented to audiences on topics including: infusing technology into curriculum, the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and using Space as a launchpad for learning. Her ideas were shared at Microsoft\'s E2 Conference in Singapore, the Annual Ed-Tech Conference and at Connect in Niagara Falls, the largest North American technology conference. Kristine has an affinity for space research and is a Founding Member of the Mars Generation. She has attended Space Camp, the Canadian Space Agency, the Space Exploration Educators Conference and the esa Summer Institute in Noordjwik, Netherlands.Kristine is a Microsoft Fellow, HP Fellow, National Geographic Certified Educator, TeachSDGs Ambassador, Skype Master Teacher and a Global Minecraft Mentor. Kristine graduated from York University with a B.A. in Specialized Applied Geography, a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a certificate in Remote Sensing and a certificate in Urban Studies. She graduated as a member of the Dean\'s list and recipient of the John Warkentin Award for Geographic excellence. Kristine holds a Bachelor of Education from York\'s Concurrent Education Program. She has been teaching in the Peel District School Board as a middle years educator for over 15 years.
