Armed with both a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA degree from Texas A&M University, the ability to speak both the technical and business “languages” often bridges the communication gaps in the organization. Over 15 years of increasing management responsibility throughout estimating and project controls at a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry power-house provides a depth and breadth of knowledge in all craft disciplines that offers a robust foundation for success. My experience as an Estimating Director / Manager has demonstrated a successful track record planning and completing full EPC industrial estimates ranging in cost from $100M to $5B. Adept at establishing and refining procedures, processes, and policies and providing guidance to establish structure, controls and consistency around the work. Real value is delivered through strategic proposal development, risk identification and quantitative analysis leading to contingency funding decisions, and skilled people and task management of approximately 50 individuals. Trusted to provide final go/no-go recommendations to executive management prior to executive approval and proposal submission. As a project manager, I have a consistent track-record of delivering excess gross profit margins as compared to as-sold margins through rigorous change management, client relationship management as well as thorough budget and schedule analysis.
