About Kristin Jones
Kristin is a Managing Director of Ernst & Young, LP, a global accounting firm. Kristin re-joined Ernst & Young in 2022, and works in the Tax Attribute Quantitative Services Practice. She is based in the Washington DC area. Kristin has over two decades of experience as a corporate tax lawyer. Prior to rejoining Ernst & Young Kristin held senior-level positions at several companies. Her roles have included CEO and Founder of Section 382 Solutions, National Tax Subject Matter Expert at CBIZ, and Senior Product Manager at Bloomberg Tax & Accounting (ASC 842 software). Kristin grew Section 382 Solutions from a concept to a thriving tax technology company. Under her leadership, the company\'s client base grew to include private and public companies, corporate boards, and CPA firms. Kristin is now widely recognized as an expert on tax attribute analysis, having created an award-winning software product.In addition, Kristin served as a tax lawyer with Drinker Biddle & Reath in Washington, D.C, advising corporate clients on various corporate tax issues and began her career in the National Tax Office of Ernst & Young Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Group. Kristin earned a B.A. in Political Science from College of Saint Rose; a J.D. from the State University of New York School of Law; and an LL.M. in Tax from New York University School of Law. She also holds a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and is passionate about diversity and equitable access.
