Provide a global perspective to ensure alignment with the clients’ policies and positions taken across jurisdictions. • Manage a portfolio of 40+ matters across Europe, Russia and Canada. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients. Work with XFN (engineers, investigation teams). • Serve as primary point of contact for and advise senior members of in-house legal teams on litigation strategy (including analysis of claims; drafting pleadings to address local nuances; prepare hearing talking points and direct strategy for oral arguments; direct fact-finding; and prepare settlement analyses), risk mitigation, regulatory inquiries and compliance (including privacy), administrative fine proceedings, ECtHR proceedings, and international criminal proceedings.• Deliver legislative analyses and advise on emerging data privacy frameworks, informing compliance and risk mitigation strategies.• Prepare for and co-lead quarterly client meetings to discuss status of high priority cases, precedent setting wins, docket management, projections for docket volume, and emerging trends. • Lead teams of junior and mid-level attorneys.• Engaged in high-value investor-state and commercial arbitrations involving Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyz Republic under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC Rules (e.g, resisting the enforcement of the $50 bln Yukos award).• Oversaw fact development, drafted submissions, managed witnesses and experts, developed cross-examination strategies, and prepared for hearings.
