ABOUT KRISTINA VARNALIS

In college, I majored in communication with a focus in public relations. I always thought I would be working for a big PR firm or becoming an editor at a big magazine. That dream did not happen and I went in a completely different direction after college.I started as a web content intern at a growing company and wrote detailed descriptions on products we sold online. After I graduated, they decided that I had a bigger personality that could be utilized better elsewhere and suggested I transition to the customer support department. I took the opportunity thinking I would only be there for a couple of months until I landed my dream job. Seven and a half years later, I was still there and now in a leadership role in the department.I wanted to challenge myself even further and decided to take a risk and resign, but I knew I wanted to stay in the same industry. Doing so has introduced me to so many more connections that I would not have been exposed to and it has helped me decide where my passion lies. I am incredibly passionate about helping others and making connections. Wherever my career takes me, I want to be sure I am a part of the larger picture and making a difference in others lives. I no longer have the \"dream job,\" it is more about how I feel at the end of the day. If I can help one person in my day and make a difference, then I can go to bed happy. Specialties include project management, customer service, public speaking, onboarding and training, inside sales, critical thinking, time management.
