ABOUT KRISTINA MILLER

I have more than 30 years of experience in the transportation industry with a primary focus developing and analyzing projects. My career is focused on conducting successful projects through effective interagency coordination and public involvement programs, detailed research, context-sensitive solutions, comprehensive impact analyses, full-disclosure documentation, and mitigation development. I have managed numerous studies in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA, i.e, Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Categorical Exclusions); analyzed socioeconomic impacts; completed Environmental Justice evaluations; authored community impact assessments (CIA); provided Section 6(f) LWCF Act conversion documentation and coordination; completed Section 4(f) DOT Act evaluations; supported efforts for Section 106 NHPA consultation; directed traffic impact studies regarding level of service, noise, and air quality; and evaluated indirect and cumulative impacts (ICI). I have created and administered successful public involvement programs for projects with high levels of public controversy and a wide range of critical issues, involving historic resources, environmental justice, community cohesion, public parks, and sensitive natural resources. My training includes: project management, NEPA-compliance, NEPA-improving the quality of environmental documentation, CIA, ICI, Traffic Noise Model, public involvement, meeting facilitation, and advanced management / leadership.
