About Kristin Weaver
I have years of experience litigating and resolving issues on behalf of individuals, children, parents, veterans, and business owners both inside and outside the courtroom. After graduating with university honors from the University of Arkansas I went on to attend law school at the University of Denver where I completed law school in just two and a half years. During law school, my main focus was domestic relations matters.During my time at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law I served as an extern for Colorado Legal Services Family Violence Unit in which I gained valuable experience assisting victims of domestic violence. In addition, I practiced as a student attorney in the Sturm College of Law Civil Litigation Clinic where I represented victims of domestic violence in permanent protection order hearings, divorce proceedings, and allocation of parental responsibilities proceedings. I also have experience as an expert, as I worked as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem in civil protection order cases. Before moving back to my home state Texas, I worked as an attorney at the largest domestic relations firm in Colorado, handling complex property, custody, and support matters. I have a wide breadth of experience in family law matters, including complex military issues, non-traditional families, high net-worth matters, and domestic violence. I was also a vital part of our new associate training and mentoring program in which I assisted in onboarding new attorney prospects all while managing a team of attorneys and paralegals. I am a NITA-trained litigator as well as a licensed mediator. My experience provides me with a unique perspective and skill set, which enables me to successfully navigate more complicated issues that may arise in a case.I currently serve as a lead volunteer attorney for the Austin Bar Foundation Veterans\' Legal Aid Clinic as well as a volunteer for the Texas Attorneys for Texas Veterans. I was also a member of the 2024 Austin Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy. I am an active member of the Travis County Women Lawyers\' Association, Austin Young Lawyers Association, Williamson County Young Lawyers Association, and the Austin, Hays, and Williamson County Bar Associations, where I serve on multiple committees. I enjoy networking with like-minded professionals to share expertise, opportunities, and connections. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
