ABOUT KRISTIN SALMON-WOOLF
I\'ve dedicated my career to addressing some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges of our time. These topics include: sustainable fisheries in Indonesia, post-disaster childhood education in Chilean Patagonia, fair chance hiring for formerly incarcerated folks, living wages and healthy working conditions for farmers and factory workers, college scholarships for Black communities, and land and ocean conservation efforts worldwide. While different on the surface, these issues share commonalities. They\'re inherently complex, involve multiple stakeholders, and require coordination among entities that may not have collaborated before. I have experience in all phases of project management and implementation, from on-the-ground work to ideation, resourcing through fundraising, and business development.Different problems necessitate different approaches. I develop strategies and secure resources, spanning philanthropy and public/private funding, to realize impactful and self-sustaining solutions that increase opportunity, empathy, justice, and equity in our society.I\'ve collaborated with notable organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, Ford Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative, Patagonia, Fair Trade USA, BNP Paribas, the David & Lucile Packard Foundation, and the Mastercard Foundation.I currently work with the Global Fund for a New Economy, where I advance philanthropic funding for the New Economy Movement. My role focuses on catalyzing investments that drive systemic change towards a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
