ABOUT KRISTIN OCCHETTI

I\'m an estate planning and trust litigation attorney with 18+ years of experience at Quarles in Milwaukee. I craft personalized estate plans for high-net-worth individuals, manage intricate trust and estate administrations, and tackle disputes, bringing a mix of legal strategy and emotional intelligence.My journey into law began with a passion for advocating for abused animals. After realizing that wasn’t my legal path, I discovered estate planning—a field that not only allows me to act as an unlicensed therapist but also support individuals and families during some of life\'s most pivotal and challenging moments.I must admit, I was initially charmed by the dramatic portrayals of will readings in movies, where the lawyer unveils the contents to a tense family, and chaos ensues. While such scenes are more Hollywood fiction than reality, I find the real-life process deeply rewarding. Guiding families through grief and conflict has taught me the importance of patience and empathy, and the value of a good sense of humor when tensions run high.Outside the office, my husband and I have three energetic young children who prove on a daily basis that karma is real. In my limited free time, I love eating Sicilian food, losing my breath at Orange Theory and singing karaoke. In fact, my college group won the same competition featured in Pitch Perfect, and I’m convinced I missed my calling as a member of the Barden Bellas. My solo from that era is even available on Apple Music—proof that I’m not making this up!Life’s a balancing act, and while I juggle the demands of work, family, and hobbies, I strive to bring humor, heart, and a touch of creativity to everything I do. Whether I’m drafting a complex trust or mediating a family dispute, my ultimate goal is to help clients navigate complex situations with clarity and compassion.
