As a Development Director in Gift Planning, I have advanced knowledge of charitable giving vehicles such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, estate planning, as well as gifting from retirement accounts and other assets. As both a planned gift and major gift fundraiser, I help the donor holistically reach their best gift plan in cooperation with their other trusted advisors. I cultivate and engage with donors and prospective donors who would like to make a planned gift to the University through their estate or other gift vehicle. I also provide donors and advisors with bequest language and review the wording in Wills and Trusts. Additionally I assist in real estate and land gifts along with mineral rights and other tangible property. When a gift is realized I provide guidance during the estate/probate process through communication with executors and advisors. In addition to developing donor relationships and holding my own portfolio, I am a resource for the Endowment development professionals when they have donors who would like to establish a planned gift.
