   As a Milwaukee Public School Parent Coordinator, my number one focus and goal is to increase parental engagement in order to increase student achievement. Helping parents understand they are their child\'s first educator is a rewarding game changer. Since accepting this position, I continue to work relentlessly to build family and staff relationships. I have successfully rallied enough support to start a PTO and created a Family Engagement Empowerment series focused on educating and supporting families on a variety of key topics.
