About Kristin Jankowski

As a veterinarian and educator, I’ve dedicated my career to exploring the intersection of access, equity, and excellence in veterinary care. My work focuses on Spectrum of Care and One Health approaches that support veterinary teams in meeting people and animals where they are, with compassion, evidence-based options, and humility.I am especially curious about how we prepare future veterinarians to be not only skilled clinicians, but also thoughtful communicators and creative problem-solvers. Much of my work involves designing and delivering teaching tools through continuing education, curriculum development, and mentorship that equip veterinary professionals to navigate the real-world complexity of modern practice.

   Nov 2023 — Present

   Lead development of activities, tools, and methods for teaching of Spectrum of Care (SoC) and Access to Veterinary Care (AVC) to practitioners, practice managers, veterinary technicians, support staff, and veterinary students. Develop strategic priorities for the organization and co-lead growth, scaling, and mission achievement. Represent Open Door Veterinary Collective at regional and national meetings with delivery of continuing education seminars. Participate in research related to SoC and AVC. Act as a liaison with veterinary schools, the Veterinary Innovation Council, and the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) around the topics of SoC and AVC.
