About Kristin Hunter-Rutledge
At InnerVision Mental Health Therapy, I specialize in working with individual adults healing from complex trauma, anxiety, and self-doubt. Therapy with me isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about uncovering the root causes of emotional struggles, breaking free from old patterns, and creating meaningful, lasting change. I integrate Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy (AFTT-A), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal-informed techniques to support deep healing. By addressing the mind-body connection, I help clients not only process trauma but also rebuild self-trust, foster emotional balance, and step into a life aligned with their authentic selves. How I Help Trauma & PTSD – Gently reprocessing past experiences to foster healing and resilience Anxiety & Self-Doubt – Shifting inner narratives, regulating the nervous system, and restoring confidence Depression & Emotional Fatigue – Addressing the underlying causes of emotional pain, rather than just managing symptoms Self-Esteem & Inner Critic Work – Reframing self-perception and nurturing self-compassion Navigating Life Transitions – Providing tools to manage uncertainty and personal transformation My Background Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years in leadership roles as a nonprofit CEO, COO, and organizational development director, helping individuals and teams navigate growth, resilience, and transformation. That experience deepened my understanding of human behavior, emotional intelligence, and personal change—insights I now bring into my work as a therapist. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (University of Nebraska Omaha) and a Master’s in Leadership (Drake University). I am also trained in DBT and CBT, complementing my trauma-focused approaches with skills-based strategies. Let’s Connect If you’re looking for a therapist who takes a deep, trauma-informed approach and tailors therapy to your unique needs, I’d love to connect. Feel free to reach out!
