ABOUT KRISTIN DOMZAL

I’m a senior employment and litigation attorney with over 20 years of experience counseling business leaders on complex employment issues and litigation strategy. Most recently, I served as Assistant Group Counsel at Cleveland-Cliffs, a Fortune 500 steel producer, where I provided practical, business-minded legal guidance to executive, HR, and operational leadership across the U.S. I bring a strategic, no-nonsense approach to solving problems, managing legal risk, and aligning employment law and litigation strategy with business priorities. At Cliffs, I managed a nationwide litigation docket, advised on high-stakes issues ranging from discrimination to personal injury claims, and represented the company before agencies like the EEOC, NLRB, OFCCP, and DOL. I also led compliance programs, conducted M&A due diligence and post-close integration, and built strong partnerships with outside counsel. My background spans both in-house and law firm environments. I began my career at a predecessor of Cliffs in HR compliance, which continues to inform my grounded, business-first approach to legal practice. I’m currently exploring new opportunities where I can leverage my experience to add strategic value in employment law or litigation — ideally in a collaborative and forward-thinking organization.
