ABOUT KRISTIN BARBATO

After years in executive roles at utilities, developers, and government, Kristin is a successful entrepreneur with continued focus on scaling energy technologies and solutions through innovation programs and active communities. She co-founded Dynamo Energy Hub, the leading network for energy transition leadership, after founding Build Edison to support energy innovation projects and programs. Most recently, she leads the NextGen Program at OpenMinds to develop and connect the next generation of climate and energy leaders and also works with the Swedish Energy Agency blending European innovators with US markets.Kristin is an accomplished energy and utilities executive providing energy management strategy and new technology deployment for various customers and sectors. She has a track record of scaling growth, enabling efficient operations, and implementing successful go-to-market programs. Her leadership experience spans public and private sector and she advises companies on strategic planning, business and market development, cleantech integration, capital investment, and operational efficiency. Throughout her career, she has worked with many companies and government agencies to build innovation and market development programs, cleantech growth, and infrastructure projects. A former utilities executive and Chief Energy Management Officer of NYC, she is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University and NYU where she teaches Energy Management to graduate-level policy students. She also was one of the founding board members of the NY Association for Energy Economics and currently serves on the advisory board for Stony Brook University\'s Advance Energy Research & Technology Center as well as the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund to help families of children with cancer. Aside from her engagement with various energy trade groups and non-profit volunteerism, Kristin is also an avid sports fan and enjoys outdoor activities and jiu jitsu.
