Responsible for leading, directing, developing, planning and coordinating the policies and activities of the Human Resource function for all 19 centers; including, but not limited to, preparing, analyzing, and processing payroll; managing, renewing, and coordinating all benefits and compensation; managing all staffing, processing background checks, forecasting, and leading initiatives for recruitment and retention strategies, including managing all job descriptions and postings on various hiring sites; implementing all aspects of employment, to include: onboarding, terminations, and offboarding; managing and allocating all leave types and balances; creating the annual corporate calendar for payroll, floating holidays, professional development days, etc; collaborating with senior leaders to align Human Resources with Mathnasium\'s goals and strategies; company administrator for all 3rd party vendors; managing all unemployment claims and represent the company in Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) hearings; managing corporate purchase/credit card purchases and expenditures and processing and tracking all accounts payable expenses and expenditure reports; managing and processing employee cash advances requests, managing and tracking cash advance agreements, and processing repayments; processing and tracking mileage and expense reimbursements; ensuring timely, effective, and responsive Human Resources operations; conducting all new hire orientation and benefits introductions; reviewing, modifying, developing, presenting, and executing best practices for all Human Resource functions; and ensuring legal compliance for all these aspects, including federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
