About Kristie Backs
As the QA Practice Director for Perficient\'s Ohio Business Unit, I lead a team of 18 testers, test leads, and test managers across three locations. I have more than 10 years of experience in IT project management, quality assurance, and business consulting, with a CSM certification and expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.I oversee all aspects of quality assurance testing for internal and external projects, from establishing and evolving formal QA processes and metrics, to developing new tools and processes, to ensuring quality goals and utilization targets are met. I also act as the key point of contact for clients in all QA aspects of releases, providing feedback, updates, and solutions. I have been instrumental in securing and delivering a $15M testing contract with a renowned manufacturer, as well as serving as the QA SME for one of the top five business accounts at Perficient. I am passionate about creating and implementing procedures that improve IT-related practices and customer experience.
